This is a course for ABAPers who wish to starting coding inABAPon HANA.

In this series of tutorials, we learn about how to start with ABAP On HANA programming. The objective of this course is to teach you how to code with real time programming examples using the new ABAPon HANAcoding methodology.

This course also contains real time interaction with students so that their doubts are resolved, thereby clearing out any questions that you may have.

The total theory part in this course is less than 10%.

This series will be covering below topics

1) Introduction to ABAP on HANA

2) New Syntax features

3) SQL queries using new syntax

4) Creation and usage of different types of CDS views

5) Creation and usage of AMDP.

The course will solely focus on the ABAP on HANA profile and not HANAmodelling which students usually get confused with. The course contains reference materials attached for easy practice and future use.

CDSis the future of ABAPprogramming and this will be used in further topics like UI5/ Fiori / SAPCloud Programming. This is the new way of programming called as 'Top-Down' approach which encourages programmers to push the code as much as possible to the database level. CDShelps making ABAPlanguage more robust, fast and adaptable to other integrations.

SAPhas also introduced new features in ABAPprogramming from ABAP 7.40 version onwards which aids in the journey of leveraging the power of SAPHANA systems via ABAPprogramming. This course will give detailed usage of such new features.The course also has a ready to use reference program for students to use it for better understanding.
