Advent is the beautiful time each year when we prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits for the glory of Christmas night. During these four weeks, we are invited into the scriptures to celebrate the plan of our Father to reunite His people to Himself through His only son, Jesus. On Christmas, we celebrate the pivot point in salvation history when God himself took on human flesh to take our sins. 

This course is designed to help the faithful fully participate in this season of Advent. In a world focused on movies, decorations, and gifts, the Church offers us the opportunity to focus on the true meaning of the season: Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Throughout this course, we will use the weekly scripture readings and Church history to achieve a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Christmas season.
