•GENERAL INTRODUCTION

•Auto-desk Revit is a building information modelling software for architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, designers and contractors. The original software was developed by Charles River Software, founded in 1997, renamed Revit Technology Corporation in 2000, and acquired by Auto desk in 2002. The software allows users to design a building and structure and its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements, and access building information from the building model's database. Revit is 4D building information modelling capable with tools to plan and track various stages in the building's life cycle, from concept to construction and later maintenance and/or demolition.

•Auto-desk 3ds Max, formerly 3D Studio and 3D Studio Max, is a professional 3D computer graphics program for making 3D animations, models, games and images. It is developed and produced by Auto desk Media and Entertainment.

•AIM OF THIS COURSE

•The objective of this course is to introduce both programs and their compatibility in terms of architecture and realistic rendering Designs. So far both software can handle similar task but for more professional presentation its of best interest to master the use of all. In our design followed up, we will be taking a review and the compatibility of the two programs (REVIT AND 3DS MAX).

•RELEVANT INFORMATION OF REVIT AND 3DS MAX

•For now, we will not talk more on this software but, we will discuss on the relations. All of these programs are Auto-desk product and are automatically interlink with same versions. This means that the Revit 2018 and 3ds max 2018 are interlink to each other through a bridge.

•Though this aspect is necessary, we can still access file from a different version to 3ds max by saving in a format call (fbx.) and others.

•Remember that this program requires plugins and other ad-dons to produce more realistic effects and quality rendering. As this necessary, we will equally need a good knowledge of design norms and aesthetic not living out up-to-date computer.
