By the end of this course, students will have:

• Undergone mindset work to complete the task of budget development and implementation.

• Thought about and pinpointed a reason why they are budgeting, people for whom they are budgeting, and goals for budgeting.

• Understood the 50/30/20 budget and how to alter percentages based on life circumstances.

• Used actual pay stubs and official documents to determine their actual income amount.

• Used paper bills and electronic payments to determine all expenses owed.

• Understood that if payments exceed 50%, it is necessary to enact a plan in order to decrease expenses.

• Identified 20% of their income to dedicate toward savings and know what they are saving towards.

• Identified 30% of their income for free spending and know the actual amount to use to freely spend.

• Understood how to manage free spending money, as not to exceed the amount set.

• A completed budget to implement at the end of the course.

• Understood that budgeting can occur at any income level, and that high earners can be broke and lower earners can be rich.

• Understood that budgeting gives them complete control over their finances because they tell their money where to go and not wonder where it went.

• Realize that it is necessary to remain within the spending limits of the budget set.
