Buffer Overflow Exploit Development for Exam Preparation.

This is a video of going through the exploit development process on the fly against brainpan 1 ctf. You can see the steps taken and take notes, follow along and utilise the writeup that will also be made available to you.

This course is beginner level in regards to exploit development, however to those learning it can appear to be a daunting task. Mastering brainpan shouldn't take the average person longer that one day. I learnt using brainpan within a day, it felt like an overwhelming thing to learn at first since it's difficult to gauge learning something if you don't fully understand it. Fortunately, it is easier than you'd imagine and once learnt you know buffer overflow exploitation forever and it feels great!

You'll quite likely feel it is a lot easier pwning BOF over normal CTF's since BOF is pretty much the same process you'll use to win every time whereas CTF's can be wide a varied in all manner of different tasks with many different processes to consider following.

Once you master brainpan, it is my opinion that you should be ready.

If you are beginner then please make sure you download and run Brainpan 1 from vulnhub first. You may need to use VM software to do this.
