This course will teach some simple strategies and techniques that parents can work on with their children to combat school age bullying.

Bullying is a huge problem in the world today. Most kids don’t know how to handle bullies and most parents/teachers don’t know what to teach kids about it. Over the course of four, 5-10-minute lessons, we will teach you many strategies for handling bullies of all ages. Many different strategies will be discussed. Some may work for you and some might not. Feel free to pick and choose what works. I guarantee something from this course will be helpful. The course is broken down into the following lessons:

Lesson 1: The Right Mindset

Lesson 2: Strategies 1-3:

Lesson 3: Strategies 4-6

Lesson 4: Be Physically Ready

The goal of this course is for kids and parents/teachers to work together to practice the strategies to combat school age bullying. As with everything in life, in order for something to be effective, it must be practiced and perfected. I encourage to take this course from start to finish then go back and practice the aspects that you feel are most beneficial to the situation you are encountering.

Effects of bullying

• Situations that frighten us when we’re very young stay with us throughout our lives.

• Bullying can keep children from learning how to relate with others.

• Being bullied can set a negative approach to life that affects a person’s relationships, preventing the development of a positive, healthy life.

• Children who are bullied, especially on an ongoing basis, take a negative belief about themselves that linger for the rest of their lives.

• Some victims of bullying resort to violence, either towards others or towards themselves.
