Hi! Nice to meet you , and welcome to my course page! I am Ilia Laporev, and I'm a professional cellist from Belgium. I am mostly active as a cello master teacher, but also very experienced in Symphony Orchestras. From 2015-2018 I was Principal Solo Cello of the prestigious OSESP (Symphony Orchestra of São Paulo). After my Brazilian experience I went back to Europe where I got invited to play as a Solo Cello in world leading orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg and many others.
I have done so many orchestral auditions in my life, and like most of the musicians, I did not get the place. But I never saw it as a failure, I saw it more as an experience to become even stronger for the next audition. But sometimes it's just destiny. Life will show you the path.
