DescriptionSatakunta University of Applied Sciences and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences have co-produced this clinical calculations course (1 cr). The course consists of 24 clinical cases with a case video, interactive tutoring per case and self-assessment per case.
NOTE! Completion of the course will not give a qualification for drug administration. Qualification is always licensed by the law (e.g. A certified/authorised nurse).
The course covers the mathematics behind clinical calculations to the extent necessary for a nurse. The course is intended for new nursing students or nurses who want to revise their existing skills. The course focuses on minimising fears/uncertainty related to calculations and it highlights systematic self-assessment.
A key part of this course is self-assessment of learning: Students are provided with information of their progress in relation to the overall objectives of the course.
