Welcome to the first stage of Clinical Research. We created this course so that even beginners can learn how to conduct rigorous research and publish meaningful papers. In order to better understand the subject, you will encounter examples from real research issues in several modules. We recommend that you take the "Practice test" before beginning the lectures and again after finishing the course to determine how much you have absorbed from the lectures.

Background

Clinical research is essential for medical advancement, but its methodologies are frequently misapplied and understood in most medical disciplines — and in many countries — resulting in inaccurate results. Furthermore, many practitioners are unable to properly evaluate research findings. Furthermore, undergraduate research is a learning activity that broadens a student's undergraduate experience. Participation in research, scholarship, or creative work broadens and enriches students' classroom learning and helps the development of a variety of skills, according to students. From this point of view, we are planning an activity to support undergraduate research.

Our Aim

This course is intended to provide clinical research training in an interactive learning environment.

Objectives

This course covers the fundamentals of clinical research, including:-

1-how to read a research paper.

2-how to formulate a research question.

3-select a study population, and statistical methods (data distribution and classification, statistical tests, sample size, and power calculations).

4-data collection, monitoring, and reporting.

5-study designs (e.g., non-inferiority and adaptive designs, observational studies, and randomized clinical trials).

6-Surveys (how to make and validate them)
