In this video series we explain what data protection actually is and what the interaction is between the person whose data is being processed, the company that processes the data and the controlling authorities. Additionally we will deal with the question of why we need data protection at all and what dangers the processing of our data entails.

We will look at the question of when companies have to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation at all and who in the company is responsible for data protection. And we will look at the principles for processing personal data. These regulate the conditions under which we are allowed to process personal data at all and what we must observe during processing.

We will deal with data subject rights, who is responsible for the data protection in an organization or company and who is involved in the data protection process. We will therefore deal with what information a company has to provide in the first place. And with the question of what information we have a right to in the first place.

Despite all precautionary measures, a data breach may occur. In this case, the measures to be taken depend primarily on how serious the data breach was. This video series informs you about the regulations and sanctions that apply in the event of a data breach.
