Data Interpretation is the act of organizing and interpreting the data to get meaningful information. The presentation of the data can be in the form of (i) Table and Tabulation – the arrangement of data in horizontal rows and vertical columns (ii) Graphical Representation which include mainly, bar graph, histogram, pie chart etc. The knowledge of quantitative skill is very important for scoring well in data interpretation. Data Interpretation basically analyses one’s ability of mathematical skill and accuracy. The analytical ability, comparative ability and the relative ability are tested through data interpretation.

With the help of tabular columns or with the help of graphical representations like pie chart, histogram, bar graph etc., a comprehensive data is represented. The process of drawing conclusions and inferences from such presentation is known as interpretation of data.
