As an experienced founder of a successful social enterprise and Founding Partner at We Scale Impact where I’ve personally advised more than a hundred social ventures, both for-profit and nonprofit, I'm certain that every venture I’ve ever encountered could have been more successful if it had only focused on some key design elements very early during its own formation.
Based on my experiences, we initially created this workshop based course to teach MBA students at one of the world’s premier social impact business schools. Now after having trained hundreds of students, social entrepreneurs, startup founders, and non-profit leaders, we have developed an online version to share those key design elements with you and support you to incorporate each one into the design of your social venture.
In this course we will:
Design your social venture business plan, covering key areas such as value added, financial sustainability, and stakeholder mapping.
Evaluate critical risks and unintended consequences to develop plans to mitigate them.
Discover the difference between organizational and personal success, and how you can best plan your venture’s future while being true to your personal values and goals.
Working together we will cover 11 modules, take a set of quizzes to reinforce key concepts, and most importantly complete various hands-on activities, which will provide you with concrete tools to use in designing your social venture. You will also be able to connect with your peers and share feedback on each other's social venture designs.
After completing the course you will have a well designed and clear set of plans, have reflected on core questions you face, and have a set of tools that will help you to move forward in effectively building your social venture.
I look forward to you joining me to discover how to successfully design your social venture.
