This is a course from an experienced journalist, speaker and podcaster. The course is providing basic information for a podcaster on creating their own project. The course is targeted for people with interest towards podcasting, mainly sound-only podcasting. We do not touch upon the aspects of video production or marketing and promotion of the podcasts. In the course technical aspects of sound recording, as well as subjects of podcast content are discussed. In the course the author shares tips and tricks based on her own experience as a presenter and podcaster. All brand names mentioned in the course are mentioned because of the author’s positive experience with those, rather than on the advertising basis. No previous experience or knowledge of journalism or podcasting are required.

The course consists of five lectures, the lectures are in English. Therefore, good understanding of English language is required for the course users.

The course has no homework or other tasks. However, the lectures include several questions the audience is expected to answer for themselves. Also, a set of exercises is provided in Lesson 4, and the exercises are expected to be performed together with the course’s author.

The structure of the course is developed so that it leads a beginner podcaster from zero to a fully-created episode, uploaded online.
