This course provides vital information for teachers of our English Language Learner/Multi-Language Learner student body (ELL/MLL). This session is created for ENL (English as a New Language) Teachers, however, it is also useful to all classroom teachers. Along with foundational information and a variety of instructional strategies that are specifically beneficial to ELL/MLLs, the knowledge and strategies shared may apply in adaptation to classroom wide practice for all learners. This session is based on research from a variety of sources including evidence based practices, promising practices, explicit direct instruction for all and specifically for ELLs, Sheltered Instructional Observation Protocol, and educational neuroscience. Having co-teachers participate in this session together is helpful to co-teaching efficiency and effectiveness.
