This course teaches the basic skills of video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. I work in this industry full time, and these are the skills I use ever day. In order to follow along with this course, it is recommended to have Adobe Premiere Pro, which has a seven day free trial. This course is geared towards beginners, and covers topics such as importing and organizing footage, importing music, time remapping, normalizing audio, cutting broll, transitions, color correction, masking, titles, and exporting. The basic format is that it takes you step by step through the process of making a short music video, and then ends of with a series of common effect and tools that get used.This does not cover every single thing that Premiere does- rather, it focuses the student on what are the common things that they will run into all the time. Anything that is more advanced or that requires further skill can usually be found through online searches. (For example, this course does not cover green screen removal or complex logo animations).
