In this virtual journey, guided by traditional knowledgeable locals who will share their stories and knowledge, we will learn to play the basic rhythmical patterns of the “Bambuco Viejo”, an ancestral musical genre of the Colombian south pacific. We will also dance this genre while we learn about the magic of falling in love, we will weave a traditional fan with which the “guapireños” keep their warm days cool, and we will cook an exquisite “encocado de Jaiba”.
Guapi is a municipality that has been affected by the Colombian armed conflict, but its cultural richness is unmeasurable. This course was created by Marimbea and co-financed by the program “territorios de oportunidad” to share in this abundance. Once you enroll, you´re contributing to the generation of wealth to the knowledgeable cultural locals of the municipality of Guapi that were a part of this project, and to the creation of new cultural journeys with #VibraPacifico

En este viaje virtual, guiado por sabedores tradicionales que compartirán sus historias y conocimientos, aprenderemos a interpretar los patrones básicos del Bambuco Viejo, un ritmo ancestral del pacífico sur colombiano. También bailaremos este ritmo mientras aprendemos sobre la magia del enamoramiento, tejeremos un abanico tradicional con el que los guapireños refrescan sus cálidos días, y cocinaremos un exquisito encocado de Jaiba.
Guapi ha sido un municipio afectado por el conflicto armado colombiano, pero su riqueza cultural es inmensurable. Este curso fue creado por Marimbea y co-financiado por el Programa Territorios de Oportunidad para compartir esa riqueza.
