This is an introductory basic course for non finance people who are looking to learn the fundamentals of book keeping and accountancy. This course explains what is a business cycle, how does one create a chart of account, what is a trial balance, what is a Balance Sheet and how does one account for expenses with simple examples.

This basic course intends to cover the fundamentals of book keeping and accountancy. In this course, I take the student through the Golden rules of accounts, explain the business cycle and how the accounting is done and closing with the Financial Statements.

Accountancy is an important subject but lot of people fear learning and working in this area. So my intension is to make accounting simple and easy to understand for everyone. And this is the first step to get introduced to the world of accountancy and finance. With no prior accounting knowledge too, once can easily understand these fundamental concepts easily. Once the basic concepts are clear, next step will be to take up the advance course which covers the entire business cycle along with the financial statements with actual case study.
