This course will cover the building blocks of a sound financial plan and will illustrate how changing your habits and attitude has an enormous impact on your financial well being. We will teach you how to take a critical look at your current income and spending habits, identify what influences those habits, and learn how to set up a lifelong plan for success.

Financial literacy equips us with the knowledge and skills we need to manage money effectively. Without it, our financial decisions and the actions we take—or don’t take—lack a solid foundation for success.

The topic of financial literacy can be intimidating but our approach focuses on starting you from the beginning and implementing simple strategies that are used by the average person to the wealthiest of the one percent.

We recommend that while you are taking this course, you follow along, taking notes but more importantly, starting a financial journal that includes the following elements:

• Tracking your monthly income

• Tracking your daily spending - even on the small stuff

• Tracking your monthly bills

• Tracking subscription costs (think Netflix)

• Identifying true "needs" and true "wants"

By journaling, you will start seeing connections and trends in your spending habits which will lead you to start eliminating even the smallest of debts and increase your income.
