The Curriculum is based on the best methods (from my years of teaching) to teach Japanese to complete beginners. The truth is, a lot of Japanese tutorials and courses out there do not teach the language the way beginners should be approaching it. What beginners are exposed to at the beginning of learning a new language is very important in language learning (similar to sports) because it SHAPES your general thinking and attitude towards the language. For example, if you learn Romaji (English representation of Japanese letters) and become accustomed to using it instead of Hiragana. Many things that follow will go wrong, such as pronunciation, punctuation etc, when you learn more advanced Japanese because you started wrong.
A good balance of the 3 elements in language learning is also crucial in making smooth progressions. From my experience of teaching beginners, it's proven that the best method is one that emphasises the balance of grammar-example-practice. And this course teaches you in exactly that manner.
