Freeagent Bookkeeping software is a UK-based software that helps small business owners and sole traders to keep accurate records and accounts. In this course, we look at an example company that was on an excel spreadsheet but has moved its accounting records over to Freeagent. One of the key benefits of Freeagent software is that it is FREE if you bank with RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) or Natwest or Mettle Bank. Switching to Freeagent from manual record keeping will save you a lot of time and effort because the software can send invoices for you easily, it can connect to your bank account and pull through records (saving a lot of time on manual data entry). The software can send statements and reminders making it easier to chase up any monies outstanding.

The aim of the course is to demystify the process of setting up the system so that those who already have accounting records elsewhere can see how to transfer these existing balances across and to see how easy it is to use. Freeagent are continually improving upon the system and they actually give you an estimated running total of your expected tax bill which is extremely useful for planning purposes.
