This course focuses on learning to read in French. Learn to grasp all the necessary phonics elements to be able to read the alphabet, words and as a final target, short sentences in French. Enjoy fun activities to practice sounds ideal for kids aged between 5 and 12 years old.

Read in French for Beginners

This course is designed to develop a great phonological awareness in French. Students will learn the alphabet, the letters, the initial sounds and all the complex sounds. Students will be asked to watch prerecorded videos to learn and practice sounds with me. There will be activities to complete in order to put into practice the sounds learned with answer key provided. This class is taught in English !

My activities include:

There is also worksheets full of fun activities to use alongside the sections (each level of sounds).

After this course children will know:

• Master the notion of a lowercase and uppercase letter

• Master the notion of a vowel and a consonant

• Master the notion of a syllable in French

• Reproduce all the initial sounds in French (26 sounds)

• Reproduce all the complex sounds in French (100 sounds)

• Having fun reading in French (a word and a sentence )
