If you are undertaking qualitative research, you are bound to use NVivo. It is a comprehensive, simple to use software that makes it easy to transcribe, code and analyse qualitative research. In this class, you will be learning how to use NVivo to analyse your own research, using hypothetical examples of 3 short interviews. During the class, you will learn:

• NVivo’s user interface: files, cases and nods.

• Files: Transcription using NVivo.

• Nodes: the codes

• Cases: analysing data

• Creating visuals

• Using the Search tool

This class is recommended for users who never used NVivo before (or have limited experience and need a refresher) and are looking to get started with the interface. We go through the very basics first before delving into visualisation and getting outputs to use for your research.

After the class, you will be able to transcribe, code, analyse and visualise your qualitative data in a professional manner to maximise the quality of your findings.
