Yes, going zero-waste is simple.

I understand your thinking, because I also never thought it would be simple. I can't even remember the 7 R’s (Refusing, Reducing, Repurposing, Reusing, Recycling, Rotting, and Rethinking). So, how can it ever be easy to have only a tiny jar of waste every few months?

Even though I was skeptical, I now know it‘s indeed simple, as I found many ways myself to reduce waste during my 365 Sustainable Decisions Challenge. In this Challenge, I made my daily life more environmentally friendly every day for a year. My motto: „A better world starts with yourself“.

By doing this Challenge, I found for example ways to reduce my plastic waste by bringing my own container to a take-away shop. Or my food waste by making tea from an avocado pit. Or reduce my paper waste by crafting beautiful things.

Having found so many ideas, I analyzed them to see the underlying principle that is much easier to remember than the 7 R’s. By sharing this with you, it becomes simple for you too and you can stop wasting time browsing the Internet for tips!
