This Course is for Parents, Educators and Guardians of Grade 4 Students looking to prepare their child for Test Prep Skills. A Grade 4 Child needs the following Objectives met before moving onto Grade 5

This Course will help your child to hone the test prep skills for MCAS Grade 4 with short lectures and reference material and related assignments for each lecture.

Objective 1: For this objective you should be able to

● use place value to read, write, compare, and order whole numbers;

● describe and compare fractions and decimals;

● add and subtract to solve problems involving whole numbers and decimals;

● multiply and divide to solve problems involving whole numbers; and

● use estimation to find reasonable answers.

Objective 2: For this objective you should be able to

● use patterns in multiplication and division; and

● describe patterns and relationships in data.

Objective 3: For this objective you should be able to

● identify and describe lines, shapes, and solids using formal geometric

language;

● connect transformations to congruence and symmetry; and,

● recognize the connection between numbers and points on a number line.

Objective 4: For this objective you should be able to

● measure weight and capacity; and

● use measurement concepts to help solve problems.

Objective 5: For this objective you should be able to solve problems by

organizing, displaying, and interpreting sets of data.

Objective 6: For this objective you should be able to

● apply mathematics to everyday problem situations;

● communicate about mathematics using everyday language; and

● use logical reasoning.
