In every generation it seems that people are coming up with fanciful interpretations of the John's Apocalypse, the Book of Revelation. While most of these interpretations are intriguing in their times and even today, the truth comes in time that they are not correct interpretations of the prophecy as the proposed meaning proves not to be true.

Did God leave us a portion of scripture that we could not understand? God does not do pointless things.

The answer to most interpolations [reading into the text something that is not there] is given in the first sentences of the writing, John's Introduction. Revelation 1:1-3.

In this course we will not be relying on what uninspired men have postulated about the book, but on what God said about the book through His servant John, on the Isle of Patmos.

When you understand the inspired scope of the book, you will be looking for what He indicated the book is about and not what you or someone else has just imagined it is about. Therein, you will have great hope in all your tribulations in this life.

In God we "live and move, and have our being." He gives us "life and breath and all things."
