In my 30 years as an international stress management consultant, I’ve seen and read many books, and have attended numerous seminars and workshops dealing with the subject of stress.
Pretty much all of them have been a complete disappointment. They failed to explain what stress is really all about. They offered some of the most ridiculous solutions in trying to, in their words, ‘get rid of stress’. I’ve heard so-called stress ‘experts’ advocate drinking cups of herbal tea, going for long walks, chanting positive affirmations about yourself while clutching crystals, buying pot plants to help you relax…it’s an endless list of very stupid ideas that have nothing to do with stress. As I tell my audiences at my workshops on stress, lack of herbal tea didn’t cause your high stress levels – and it certainly won’t lower them. Something, as you’ll understand from this course, is impossible to achieve.
Thankfully you won’t find any of that kind of getting- rid-of-stress nonsense in this course, because this course is based on facts. The methods I cover in dealing with stress are based on helping people in all walks of life take practical, sensible and successful steps to controlling stress.
You won’t need any medical or herbal supplements. But if you’ve already been prescribed medication for stress, anxiety or depression by your GP, do not stop taking it. Consult with your doctor for further guidance. You won’t need to buy any pot plants or anything of the kind. And you’re definitely not going to have to go on some strange diet. In fact when you diet, don’t you often become even more stressed? So no, you won’t need to change your eating habits. In short, I want you to have a better understanding of why you have stress and what you can do to keep from getting more. And, most importantly, reduce the unacceptable levels of stress you have now.
Throughout this course you’ll learn the truth about stress. I’ll help you identify it and suggest some things you can do to alleviate some of it. You’ll get a glimpse into what is possible, what you can do to start controlling it. I’ll also share with you some of the high frequency causes of stress, which will help you identify the most likely factors causing your stress levels to rise.
