The Chinese Kung Fu Spear has existed in China for over a thousand years. Although the traditional spear was constructed of much harder wood, those used in martial arts today are constructed of a much more flexible wax wood shaft. The waxy feel to this surface allows a smooth movement between your hands. Attached to the end of the shaft is a steel spearhead, which is hollow, thereby reducing the weight of the spearhead. In total the spear is approximately 7ft long.

This instructional course teaches all of the blocks, strikes, and kata for the Kung Fu spear. The kata is demonstrated from the left side, right side, and rear perspective in both the slow and full speed time frames so that the student can fully understand the kata and its applications.

This course is an ideal teaching aid for review, rank testing, competition, and self-defense.
