The effects of the low intensity laser are multiple:
- Biochemical effect: the release of preformed substances such as histamine, serotonin, brakinin is stimulated. It stimulates ATP production inside cells, accelerating mitosis and interfering with prostaglandin production, similar to the mechanism of some anti-inflammatory drugs. It has fibrinolytic action.
- Bioelectric effect: normalization of the membrane potential rebalancing and normalizing the cellular functional activity.
- Bioenergetic effect: it is the ability of the mitochondria to store energy, it is absorbed when applying the laser and retains it. The energy captured by the cells functions as an exciting message, contributing to the normality of the altered functions.
These effects produce physiological and therapeutic responses.
