There is a Reference Information at the beginning of each SAT Math section. In this Reference Information section College Board provides the areas and the volumes of basic geometric shapes. It also provides the relative side lengths of the special triangles. However, most students don't know how to use the information effectively. Usually the students only use the information to look up to the formulas provided there. This course is teaching your student how to utilize this information effectively.

In this course, the Reference Information is explained in such a way that your student can use the information creatively and quickly to solve the geometry and trigonometry questions in the SAT math.

The course has four lessons.

The first lesson examines the areas of a triangle, a rectangle and a circle. Their dependencies on the lengths are explained by examples. The comparisons of their areas are provided.

In the second lesson the volumes of a rectangular triangle, a pyramid, a cylinder, a cone and a sphere are examined. The dependencies of the volumes on the lengths and areas are shown. The volumes of each geometric shape are compared with one another.

In the third lesson special triangles are studied. How this information is utilized to calculate the angles, lengths and areas in the geometry questions are explained by examples.

In the fourth lesson your student will learn how to use the special triangles to solve the trigonometry questions.
