In this course you will be able to talk about yourself, your family and friends today and in the past &ask questions of someone else.

The goal is to be able to have a conversation with a native Spanish speaker at the end of the course with the purpose of sharing stories to get to know one another. In order to do this all content should be personalized because sharing your story promotes long term memory.

In order to achieve this, the unit will focus on the basics. You will be able to share and ask information about life today and life as a child while describing the following:

• yourself

• family

• friends

There are three primary content areas for this course that include:

• describing self and others today and as a child

• discussing free time activities today and as a child

• sharing likes and dislikes of things and things to do today and as a child

The ultimate goal is to be able to share your story and learn the story of someone speaking Spanish in your community.

Again, to achieve the most out of this course it is recommended that you find a native Spanish speaker to learn from and to practice your ability in the language.

My hope is that the resource can be a simple stepping stone in the process of language acquisition.
