This course deals with the understanding of size reduction equipment (jaw crusher, Ball mill, Hammer mill), working principles of these size reduction equipment, construction and working, The detailed explanation about critical speed in the ball mill and different factors that affect the size of the product using ball mill also explained. Different crushing laws, work index, crushing efficiency, and sphericity. The courses also cover the numericals based on the differnt crushing laws and critical speed of the ball mill. This course also covers the open and close circuit grinding and advantages of close circuit grinnding over open circuit grinding.
