I believe that this course is definitely going to help many people out there that always had their fears when it came to learning a new language (Swahili) love the language. I trust that by the end of this course, a learner will be able to confidently start conversations with other people in the Swahili language.
A brief background about the Swahili language. The Swahili language was started as a result of intermarriage between the Bantu Speaking people of East Africa and the Arab traders. The two communities had to find a way to communicate better and this resulted into a new language "Swahili". Today, the language is spoken in many countries including; Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of The Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Somalia, Malawi and many other countries long the South-Eastern Coastline including South Africa that just recently included it on its school's curriculum. I must say the language is spreading at a very fast rate. Maybe one day to come, it will be a unifying language for the African continent. By learning the language, this opens you up to a lot of opportunities on the African continent.
