The tutorial has got two parts – in the first part the basics of SPSS are discussed. It will cover details of the data tab and different items of the variable tab of the SPSS software. We will also show how to put data in the data tab and how to create and modify the variables in the variable tab. In the second part, all the analyses in the “compare mean” section of SPSS are discussed like One way ANOVA or one-way analysis of variance, One-sample t-test, paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test. The tutorial will demonstrate the way of conducting those analyses with the help of the SPSS. Here every detail of every option of those statistical analyses is given in great detail. To make it easier, some fictitious data are used as examples during the discussion. Before showing the way to conduct or run the analysis with the help of SPSS, the use of those analyses are discussed. Why and when we need to conduct those analyses are discussed before actually going through the process of conducting those tests with the help of SPSS. In this tutorial, the output section is given top priorities. The way of interpreting the output section or the result section is discussed thoroughly.
