this is a video course that is broken down into 3 parts:

1. basics

2. demonstration

3. editing

We discuss the camera, lens, and gear recommendations in the basics portion. We go over camera settings so you can capture the best video content possible.

We discuss techniques in the demonstration portion that we use, such as framing, storytelling, and how to stabilize handheld footage. We do a follow-along family home movie where we use the techniques we teach to create a family short and then show the final product.

The editing portion consists of an in-depth example using Adobe Premiere Pro. We demonstrate everything from organizing clips on the timeline to altering the video's color style for your basic corrections.

This course is intended to teach from a beginner level and create a skillful foundation for your filmmaking.

We make recommendations for cameras in varying price points in this course; however, we teach in demonstrating and editing portions applicable for DSLR, mirrorless, mobile, and action cam users.
