Ready to head to a western state and hunt elk? Maybe you have hunted elk a couple of times but been frustrated and still have difficulty in the planning phase of your hunt. There may be a lot of questions that you don't necessarily have answers to.

This course is designed to help you answer many of those questions. For example, what state? What time of year? What unit? What specific area in that unit? What gear? What type of calling is effective? Where to camp? And many other questions of that nature will be answered.

Many hunters that are east of the Mississippi have found the logistics of a western hunt to be a bit overwhelming. In addition to getting out to a western state, it is difficult to know what the terrain looks like, what are the behaviors of the wild game, and how does one prepare for those behaviors and understand the nuance. It is difficult enough to hunt locally - how is one expected to have success 1500 miles away?
