This course is meant to help high school juniors (11th graders) who are just starting the college application process tackle the most difficult parts of the college essay process: brainstorming great essay ideas and finding the right prompts. The UC system gives 8 prompts, and you'll need to write 4 essays to complete the process. Our essay boot camp will help you discover the best personal stories to highlight and which prompts suit you best to make sure that your essays shines in the application process!

In this kickstart, you'll learn:

- How to get started and brainstorm effectively for college essays

- Which of the 8 UC prompts will be best for your essay stories and ideas

- What stands out (and doesn't stand out) in the UC admissions essays

For each of the 8 prompts, you'll receive an introduction video that debriefs and explains what each prompt is really asking, a brainstorm and ideas guide to help you start the writing process, and example essays used by students to get into the UC schools!
